MYRTLEWOOD (Umbellularia Californica) is an evergreen tree with a very hard, heavy, fine grain rich in coloration. According to legend, Myrtlewood trees (member of the Laurel family) are native only to the North American Pacific Coast of Southern Oregon/Northern California and the Holy Land.

After sealing the raw wood with an acrylic sealer, the Myrtlewood placques are hand painted with acrylic paint.  Several final spray coats of clear acrylic is applied for protection and lasting beauty.
