HISTORICAL NOTE
Many times my family and I would stop for
a picnic or a night of camping at Jeddidiah State Park in California
just south of the Oregon/California border while on our way to the
coast. The huge, majestic, Coastal Redwoods were always such an
awe inspiring experience. Always I took photographs and sketched.
The little black bear is from a photo I quickly snapped while traveling
up the Crater Lake Highway on my way to visit beautiful, blue Crater
Lake in Southern Oregon. I felt he would also feel at home in the
Redwoods.
