Historical Note

Carrie was an Aunt to the Artist and  in her 80's when her portrait was painted.  Carrie was a sincere Christian who lived her Christ-like life day by day.  Her mother and father's names were Mary and Joseph.  Carrie was born on Christmas day and died at age 99 on Good Friday.   A greatly loved person!
